Aspirin Saves Life

Aspirin - A life Saver

Aspirin has saved lives of millions of people since its invention in 1897. It is the emergency medicine for chest pain, unusual sweating, gastric trouble - symptoms for heart attack. Just take an aspirin pill and you will survive. When should i take aspirin? How will it prevent heart attack? Read on.

Aspirin prevents formation of new blocks in blood vessels and arteries. But it can not dissolve block developed over years. In the year 1897 Flix Hoffman, a doctor, under leadership of Echen Guen invented Acetyl Salicilic acid. In the same year the Bayer pharmaceutical company introduced the medicine in the brand name 'Aspirin'. It was available without doctor's prescription.

Due to blood pressure blood vessels are weakened. Particularly in the brain, heart and stomach. A research was done on 4000 people over the years of 8 years. Each one was given aspirin every day. 9 percent suffered from stomach ulcer and bleeding. But aspirin helped in preventing/reducing heart attack, stroke due to blood clot in brain, blood clot in limbs etc.

Platelets and fibronogen in the blood are responsible for blood clot. This may happen when blood pressure is low or concentration is high. Aspirin will disable those chemicals on platelets that are responsible for blood clot.

So consult your family doctor before taking aspirin everyday. Those with stomach ulcer and Gas problem should avoid this. An aspirin a day (75 mg) will prevent heart attack and stroke in future. Those people with diabetes and stroke might be attacked by stroke at any time. So regularly go for check-up with your doctor. Contact Doctor Arthanari MDDM for further clarifications. Peptic ulcer - Cause and Treatment

What causes stomach ulcer?

Ulcer is one of the major problems that affect the stomach. Ulcer causes severe pain in the abdomen and stomach. What causes ulcer? What are the symptoms? What is the treatment?

In older days it was believed that ulcer was caused by not taking food on time. Recently australian doctors discovered that ulcer was caused a type of helical bacteria. More than 80 percent ulcers (gastric ulcer, duodenal ucler) are caused by bacteria. These bacteria enter the body through unclean water and may stay at the body for several years if not treated. These bacteria are not get killed inside stomach even with higher concentration acids. Our stomach produce hydrochloric acid that are very strong. The ph of this acid may go up to PH2 or even PH1. This can dissovle even metals. But these bacteria can survive this acid test.

Another cause for ulcer is medication in the form of tablets. Mainly Arthritis tablets, pain relievers like aspirin, paracetamol etc. and other non-steroids. Smoking and alchohol are another reasons.

Ulcers are detected by biopsy test and treated by endoscopic surgery.

Ulcers people should not take spicy food as it will increase the burning pain. Liquid food are recommended. Tender-coconut, curd, non-citrus fruit juice are good. Never take citrus fruits like lemon, orange etc as it contains acids.

Ulcers caused by bacteria are cured using antibiotic medications. There is no such thing as ulcer causing food. But always take clean, hygienic home made food with less spice.
